KeyScreen
Show your Mac keystrokes on screen for tutorials, presentations, and screen recordings.
KeyScreen is a small macOS app that displays your keypresses as a beautifully animated overlay — perfect for screencast tutorials, live demos and software walkthroughs where the audience needs to see which keys and shortcuts you're hitting. It supports modifiers (⌘, ⌥, ⌃, ⇧), function keys, and special keys like Enter, Esc, Tab and Delete, with smart combination display so multi-key shortcuts read clearly.
The overlay is fully customizable: choose fonts, colors, sizes, animation styles, and place it anywhere on any screen, including across multiple monitors. Five built-in themes are included, or you can build your own. KeyScreen runs entirely locally — keystrokes never leave the Mac, and password fields are automatically ignored so sensitive input never appears on screen. International keyboard layouts beyond QWERTY are supported.
It's a paid macOS app distributed through the App Store and the developer's own site, positioned as a more visually-polished alternative to the long-standing open-source KeyCastr.
