Notable is a free, cross-platform desktop note-taking app for Markdown lovers. Notes and attachments are stored as plain files on your disk, so you can sync them through Dropbox or Git, search them with grep, or edit them in any other editor — no proprietary database, no vendor lock-in.
The editor is the same one used by VS Code, with multi-cursors, a minimap and syntax highlighting; KaTeX expressions, Mermaid diagrams, nested tags, fuzzy search, split view, zen mode and a "float on top" window all ship out of the box. Notable runs on macOS, Windows and Linux and is open source on GitHub.
