File Converter handles format conversion for documents, images, video, audio, ebooks, and archives — upload a file, the tool detects its format automatically, and shows only the output formats that actually work for that input. You can convert up to 10 files at once, and the file size limit depends on your account tier.
Supported Format Categories
The available output formats are determined dynamically based on what you upload, so the dropdown only shows combinations that are genuinely supported:
- Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, HTML, Markdown, RTF, ODT
- Spreadsheets: XLSX, XLS, CSV, ODS, TSV
- Presentations: PPTX, PPT, ODP
- Images: JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG, HEIC, AVIF, BMP, GIF, TIFF
- Video: MP4, WebM, AVI, MOV, MKV, GIF
- Audio: MP3, AAC, WAV, FLAC, OGG
- Ebooks: EPUB, MOBI, AZW3, PDF
- Archives: ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR
Credits Per Conversion
Each format pair costs a different number of credits, shown beside the format name before you confirm. Video conversions and high-resolution image conversions typically cost more than document conversions.
Document format guidance
- PDF — consistent display across platforms, final publishing
- DOCX — keeps content editable after conversion
- Markdown — technical docs and blog drafts
- HTML — direct web publishing
Image format guidance
- WebP — highest compression with transparency, best for web use
- PNG — preserves transparency for icons and UI elements
- JPG — photos where smaller file size matters more than sharpness
- SVG — vector graphics that scale without quality loss
Batch Conversion Constraint
All files in a single batch must be the same input format. Uploading a mix of formats triggers a "multiple input formats detected" warning and disables the convert button. Each file tracks its own status independently — one failure doesn't block the others from completing.
