This magnet link preview tool accepts a magnet URI or InfoHash and queries whatslink.info to retrieve torrent metadata — file name, total size, file count, media type, and any available screenshots — without downloading the torrent or requiring a BitTorrent client. Results reflect what whatslink.info has already indexed, not a live P2P probe.
Accepted Input Formats
The tool recognizes two formats:
Full magnet link:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789
Plain InfoHash (40-character SHA-1 hex):
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789
Press Enter or click "Get Preview" to trigger the lookup. Any extra parameters in the magnet link — &dn=, &tr=, and so on — are stripped automatically; only the btih hash is used as the lookup key.
What the Results Mean
Each result field comes from the whatslink.info database snapshot:
- Type — the category tag assigned by the database
- File type — media classification: video, software, archive, etc.
- Name — the torrent's display name or primary filename
- Size — total bytes across all files in the torrent
- File count — number of files; single-file torrents show 1
The screenshot grid below the metadata shows video frame previews when available. Software, document, and archive torrents typically have no screenshots.
Why a Query May Return No Results
Network conditions also affect success. In some regions whatslink.info is rate-limited or blocked; if queries time out consistently, retrying via a proxy usually helps.
